Laser Hair Removal in Essex
LHE Laser Hair Removal- Read the factsheet
Laser Hair Removal is a method of removing unwanted hair from various parts of the body using light heat energy (LHE®). The light heat energy destroys the hair so that it falls out within a few weeks. Laser Hair Removal can be used for removing hair on virtually any part of the body. Most commonly it is used on the face, underarms, arms, legs, bikini line, chest and the back. With many years experience, our friendly and professional nurse specialist understands that unwanted hair can make you feel unhappy and self-conscious.
Who is Laser Hair Removal suitable for..?
Subject to initial medical screening, both men and women of any age can benefit from the treatment. Because treatment uses lasers which rely on the different pigment in the hair compared to the skin, it is most successful in people with pale skin and dark, thick hair. As white hair contains virtually no pigment, laser hair removal is unlikely to be effective on white hair.
You should NOT have treatment if you are pregnant, breast-feeding or if you suffer from epilepsy.
How long does Laser Hair Removal take..?
It depends on the size and density of the hair in the area being treated. Small areas can take as little as fifteen minutes. A full back can take up to an hour. Patients may experience a slight redness immediately after treatment, but this will fade. Improvements can be seen within weeks of the first treatment.
Bare in mind that the treatment only affects hair in the growing phase, so repeat treatments will be required approximately every four weeks.
Some people will require “top-ups” a couple of times a year.
How much does treatment cost?
A single treatment session costs from £75, depending on the size of the area treated. A course of eight sessions can be purchased for the price of six individual treatments.
