Who is Dermaroller Treatment suitable for?
Subject to initial medical screening, both men and women of any age and with all skin types can benefit from the treatment. You should NOT have treatment if you have used the anti-acne treatment Isotretinoin (brand name Roaccutane®) within the last 12 months.
How long does a Dermaroller Treatment take?
Following the application of a topical anaesthetic to numb the skin, treatment with Dermaroller normally takes around 20-30 minutes. Patients will experience redness immediately after treatment, but this will fade. Within hours your skin will begin to regenerate and repair the skin. This takes time as new collagen is formed and it can take up to six weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair the skin. Sometimes a course of three treatments at six weekly intervals may be recommended and in the treatment of acne scars and stretch marks, three to five treatments may be required.
