Collagen Stimulating Injections – Read the factsheet
Sculptra® is a non-surgical treatment which promotes the natural production of Collagen within your own skin.

Sculptra® helps restore some of the skin’s natural firmness and reduces the evidence of lines, wrinkles, hollow cheeks and skin depressions around the eyes. Sculptra® is also suitable for large volume corrections of the signs of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy). The gel (made from Poly-L-lactic Acid) has been used for many years in dissolvable stitches. It is a synthetic material produced from the fruit acid family of polymers which is not harmful to the body and is broken down by the body over time.
Using a needle, Sculptra® is injected into the line or wrinkle. Initially the gel fills the wrinkle, but Sculptra® also works over time to stimulate the production of new collagen within the wrinkle, so the skin regains its previous elasticity and smoothness. You will be advised at your consultation how many treatment sessions you may require, although the average is between 3-4 treatment sessions.
