Mesolift
Mesolift comes from the word meaning the "top layer of the skin" – the Mesoderm. Our body produces a range of chemicals which when we are young, make our skin appear bright, supple and well hydrated. As we got older, the level of these minerals, vitamins and amino acids reduces. The production of Hyaluronic acid which is the body’s natural moisture retainer is also reduced, which can make the skin look drier, thinner and lacking in volume.
Mesolift treatment involves the injecting of very small amounts of a compound into the surface of the skin which contains a ‘cocktail’ of nutrients. These nutrients replace some of the chemicals that the skin loses as it gets older.
Mesolift treatment is most often carried out on the face. However it can be used in other parts of the body where skin rejuvenation is desirable such as neck and the back of the hands.
The treatment can also be used following a skin peel to help hydrate the skin and improve the healing process.
Who is Mesolift Treatment suitable for?
Subject to initial medical screening, both men and women of any age and with all skin types can benefit from the treatment. You should NOT have treatment if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
How long does a Mesolift Treatment take?
Mesolift treatment takes no longer than 20 minutes for the face. There is some mild discomfort associated with treatment, but this can be alleviated with the use of a topical anaesthetic cream prior to treatment. Improvements can be seen within a week or two following treatment.
- Sometimes a course of treatments are recommended.
- Patients may experience a slight redness immediately after treatment, but this will fade.
